Drive in Sweden looks for free driving test times at Trafikverket for you. This page explains what we keep to do that, and what we never keep.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, which you log in with (by an emailed link, no password) and where we send notifications. This browser keeps a sign-in token.
- Your notification email, if you give us one, and whether email and browser notifications are on.
- Your Trafikverket login (the cookies Trafikverket gives after your BankID login), encrypted. It is never shown in the app, never sent to your browser and deleted when you disconnect.
- Your identity number, masked (for example 19990101-****) so you can see who is logged in. The full number is never stored.
- Your search: licence, test, dates and test centres, plus the free times we found for it.
- Browser notification address, if you turn browser notifications on. The notification itself carries no content.
What we never store
- Your BankID details. You log in to Trafikverket with the BankID app; we never see how.
- Your full personal identity number.
- Card details. Stripe handles the payment and we never see your card. Tests themselves are paid on Trafikverket's own invoice.
What we do with it
Only what you ask for: check Trafikverket for free times, show them to you, tell you about them, and reserve, book or cancel a test when you click to do so. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Services we use
- Cloudflare runs the site and stores the data.
- Stripe takes the payment for your 30 days.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Your browser's push service delivers browser notifications.
- Google Analytics tells us how the site is used, in aggregate.
- OpenStreetMap draws the map of test centres.
How long we keep it
Trafikverket logins end by themselves after a short while and are then useless. Everything else is kept while you use the service. Ask us and we delete your account and everything linked to it.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, and complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY). Write to support@driveinsweden.se.
